What we do not take
Wet paint, chemicals, asbestos and medical waste stay where they are. Tires, electronics and mattresses we do take, but they are the three categories that arrive with a disposal cost attached, so flag them when you ask for a price.
Here is where that cost comes from. The Tulsa Indoor Dump charges these by the piece on top of the load fee: $13 for a car tire under 20 inches, $20 for a light truck tire, $13 for a full, queen or king mattress and $11 for a twin, crib or futon. The city route covers all three without a per item charge. Bulky waste takes mattresses as furniture, tires without rims up to four, and up to four monitors or televisions, all inside the same 8 cubic yard fee. Two conditions, same as always: you carry it to the curb and you wait for the route. The city also asks you to set electronics, appliances and tires apart from the rest of the pile, because a second truck comes for those.

Pricing questions
Why will nobody quote a price over the phone?
Most will, once they know the volume. The reason a crew hedges is that "a few boxes" turns into a shed and a treadmill often enough that they stopped guessing. Send a photo and the number stops being a guess.
